1. our 5th aniversary:

Yes, Thread and Trim Suppliers just celebrated its 5th aniversary. After many dificult moments and situations that we do not want to repeat, we are still here stronger than ever. It is important to extend our gratitud to the companies that have supported us with their products and with their effort to continue working to grow their presence in the central american market. Llovet Sales Company (Interlinings and Buttons) is without a doubt one of the these companies that makes us stronger every day. SCOVILL Inc. is also a company that allow us to work with world class operations due to their world class quality in the products and in their service. Sew Easy Industries has given us a very special product which has allowed us to introduce ESTIRON (Clear Elastic) in the Central American market.

I most also extend my gratitude to those companies that from time to time have supported us with their products: Beaver Paper & Packaging, Pro-Knits, Cotswold Industries, Burk Mills. USLabel, Asheboro Elastics, Avery Deninson and New & Used Equipment. But most important is the support that we have received from all of those companies that have favor us with their purchase orders, and that regardless of the market ups and downs, they have allowed us to service them. THANK YOU!.

2. SATO is now selling machines to make price tickets:

Why do you have to continue depending on their on-time deliveries of the products that can be made in your own plant? You can now drive your own destiny and have the flexibility needed to answer to the orders even if they are to small. You can Buy the new SATO machine XL400e and solve the problem. Or if you prefer, you can rent it from TTS and sign a contract to purchase the ribbon and the blank tickets.  To get additional information and the specs of the machine please go to this link: http://www.threadandtrim.com/specifications.htm

3. next spesa and ahm event

Monday September 19 its when the waited FORO will begin. This is the event were we will receive a lot of information regarding the development of our industry in the area. We will be able to reconfirm if the interlinings and the pocketing can not be from outside of the area in CAFTA.

We congratulate the people that organized this event, specially because they put it together with the SPESA/AHM show, which will allow us to be closer to our clients and friends in the industry.

Llovet Sales Co. & TTS will have a booth in the second level (No. 13) where we will be able to review Llovet products and the new SATO machine.

Remember, 19 and 20 is FORO and 21 to 23 is the SPESA/AHM Show. DO NOT MISS THEM!

4. CLEAR ELASTIC, a good alternative

Many Knit shirts are constructed with a shoulder support to make the seam stronger in that area. Other garments like intimate apparel uses this type of stictch support in areas where the stitch will be under a lot of stress. In the pass and many now days still use the old woven tapes made out of cotton or polyester, and they dye those tapes to get as closed as possible to the color of the garments that they are making.

With the Clear Elastic many things have been accomplished: 1) You do not have to dye to dark or light colors, the product is transparent. 2) The skin touch does not causes irritation, it is almost eliminated. 3) The elasticity provides additional strengths and  helps to eliminate pocketing.

In Central America ESTIRON is the product that can give you the best results. To see test results and additional information visit: http://www.threadandtrim.com/test_results.htm

5. Interlinings from PCC already pre-cut.

Why do you have to fight with the cutting plant to have your interlinings cut, when they should be cutting your fabric?

The interlining is a component that can be purchased already cut to the size and measure that you need it, you do not have to bother with the dyes to cut each size of collar, you do not have to take time away from the machine that cuts fronts and cuffs, specially when the size of the tubes are not the right diameter and they have to rewind the entire roll! What about the interlining that has to have slots in the middle to be able to fold it in the placket of in the waist band? What machine does that job?

Llovet Sales Co. has many years of experience in this type of cutting. For many years they provided this service to Freudenberg in the South East of the USA, and now Llovet does it for their customers directly using the product made by PCC.

Additionally, Llovet has the Logistic and Distribution offer by TTS to be able to maintain inventory in Honduras, Nicaragua and El Salvador.  They also can count with the wareohuse that PCC has in Guatemala. Warehousing is also available in Mexico.
